SHARE NOW

A new Elvis Presley biography, titled “The Colonel and the King: Tom Parker, Elvis Presley and the Partnership that Rocked the World,” is out now via Little, Brown and Company.

The biography was written by Peter Guralnick, who specializes in the history of early rock and roll and has written books on Presley, Sam Phillips, and Sam Cooke. He is the author of multiple books about Presley, including his magisterial 1994 biography “Last Train to Memphis” and its 1999 sequel, “Careless Love.”

“The Colonel and the King” is Guralnick’s first book since 2020’s “Looking to Get Lost,” a series of profiles looking deeper into the work of artists he has loved through a lifetime.

“The Colonel and the King: Tom Parker, Elvis Presley and the Partnership that Rocked the World” is available to order here.
