Kentucky Derby Festival events wrapped up over a month ago but there was one more that had a chance to make families smile.
Saturday was the first ever Zoeller Pump Company Parade Fest on Cane Run Road in southwest Louisville. There were inflatables, arts, crafts, and food and a foam party.
The initial touring parade ran for a couple years right after Covid. The parade festival was supposed to happen around Derby time but had to be postponed due to weather.
“We were talking about what is something else we could do to kind of highlight things and this Paradefest idea came about and it was just going to be kind of a community party down here in southwest Louisville,” said Dwight Newton, Zoeller Chief People Officer.
