A Paducah woman is headed to federal prison after being found guilty of wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.
On June 11, 35-year-old Nichole M. Lawrence was sentenced to two years and four months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for six counts of wire fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft.
According to court documents, between December 2019 and February 2023, Lawrence was employed as an office manager for a business in Western Kentucky. She used her position to embezzle approximately $400,000 from the business. She used the stolen money to pay personal expenses.
Lawrence was also ordered to pay $400,000 in restitution.
There is no parole in the federal system.
