Heads up, Lexington! THIS Sunday night, Nov. 9, beginning at 10 pm —
Temporary closure of New Circle on and off ramps at Leestown Road for bridge and interchange work (and to get more lanes open there) … here’s the rundown:
Beginning at 10P, Sunday, Nov. 9, and continuing through 5P, Wednesday, Nov. 26, all four New Circle Road ramps will close.
The following detours will be in place, marked by signs and electronic message boards:
– To Leestown from New Circle: Use Georgetown Road Exit 8 (U.S. 25) to Citation Blvd to Leestown.
– To New Circle from Leestown: Take Citation Blvd to Georgetown Road to New Circle.
– Thru traffic on Leestown to and from downtown Lexington remains in the far-left lane.
Watch this space for further traffic updates as work progresses to speed up the project and get us closer to reopening two lanes each direction on Leestown, which will ease traffic congestion during remaining construction.
