A document filed in Fayette Circuit Court revealed that a Lexington elementary school employee was indicted by a grand jury for vehicular homicide following a collision that resulted in the death of 32-year-old Joshua Hampton.
The document details that on April 16, 29-year-old Jaime Caldwell, “committed the offense of vehicular homicide when she caused the death of J.H. [Joshua Hampton]” after she allegedly drove a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other substances that could impair driving ability.
Caldwell, the document read, was also indicted for operating a motor vehicle under the influence-first offense (aggravated circumstances).
Caldwell’s arraignment is scheduled to take place the morning of July 25.
