Bardstown Police Department are warning people about a scam call asking for money.
People have reported to police that an unknown caller or an (859) area code have been calling saying they’re with the Bardstown Police Department. The scammers ask for donations for fallen officers.
“While we appreciate that so many of you are willing to donate, Bardstown PD would never reach out to you and ask for money of any kind,” Bardstown Police Department posted.
People shouldn’t give personal or financial information to the scammers.
