Complaints about mice have been reported at a second Louisville-area Kroger store.
Louisville’s health department said it received complaints about the store on La Grange Road in eastern Jefferson County on May 5, June 6 and June 9.
Each time the health department investigated, no live mice were found but some mouse droppings were located.
The health department told Kroger “To thoroughly clean and sanitize affected areas and to continue with their pest control provider,” who comes to the store two to three times a week.
Officials also told the store to find and close any openings where the mice may be coming from.
Kroger has not yet responded to a request for comment on this latest investigation.
The Goss Avenue Kroger in Louisville reopened Monday after it closed over the weekend because of a rodent infestation found in three aisles, including bread and pasta products.
The health department said they will conduct a follow-up inspection at the Goss Avenue store at the end of this week.
